When asked what truth really means, you might think of words like fact, honesty or reality like I did. There is truth all around us in our everyday lives, wether we realize it or not. 2+2=4 is a true and proven fact, (along with other mathematical problems and solutions.) Did you win your soccer or volleyball game? This requires truth. Or do you really believe what your friend is telling you?! This again requires truth. Often times truth to you may not be the same as it is to others. Its probably safe to say that most people agree that 2+2 is really 4, but other examples like religon, politics, and all of your opinions wich you consider true may not be true to someone else. This is shown in many myths, ledgends, fables, etc, as we have discovered by studying them. For instance.. is it really true that there was really giant cyclops who could communicate with humans? Maybe not to most of us now, but back then there could have been. This opens up more elements of truth, time and culture. Depending on the culture and time when these 'truths' were formed the 'truths' might and probably are from what they would be today. I belive that truth definately exists.. but it can be updated most of the time as more solid information and facts are discovered. Scientists all pretty much agree that the Earth isn't flat, but they may discover later that the Earth is not a perfect sphere and may be 1cm off wich would change the whole thing. Or you may discover at one of your volleyball or soccer practices one day that the way you are hitting or kicking the ball that you thought was 'the best and true' may really not be.
